Please do not dispose of defective lithium-ion batteries with lead-acid batteries.
In Germany, any mobile hazardous waste collection point will accept the defective battery.
Alternatively, you can send the defective battery to our address free of charge and we will ensure that it is disposed of properly.
Note on the Battery Act
End users are legally obliged to return used batteries in accordance with § 11 BattG.

- Dispose of used batteries at a collection point.
- During transportation, make sure that a protective cap on the positive terminal prevents a short circuit.

MANDATORY DEPOSIT FOR VEHICLE BATTERIES
According to §10 of the BattG ordinance, every retailer is obliged to collect a deposit of 7.50 euros from the end consumer when purchasing a vehicle battery.
This deposit will be credited back to the customer on presentation of proof of disposal (for the old battery). Deposit refund in store: Please bring the proof of purchase and your proof of disposal or bring your old battery and the proof of purchase with you.
Deposit refund for mail order customers: Please send us the proof of disposal (stamped by a municipal collection point, vehicle workshop, vehicle dealer), stating the invoice number to which the proof relates, as a PDF file by e-mail or letter. We also need your bank details in order to be able to refund the €7.50 deposit. IMPORTANT: Never send filled or apparently empty batteries to us by post, as this is not permitted under the Hazardous Goods Ordinance! Even small residual quantities of battery acid are highly corrosive!
